Titles provide the institutional and creative names which are actively involved with the making, producing and funding of the film.

These are the titles you would expect to see, in order:

Production 
Directors name film 
Main star 
Film title 
Actor 1 – (end of main section) 
Actor 2 
Actor 3 
Actor 4 
Actor 5 
Casting 
Costume designer 
Music 
Edited 
Production designer 
Director of Photography (DOP)

Based upon 

Screen play (writer)

and of course, the Director.

Titles can be creatively used within opening sequence through:

-Font/text style

-Colours 

-Framing/screen placement

-Pace of credits, transitions and edit

They can establish:

-Tone/location/time

-genre

-narrative hints

-suggestions towards the character/characters
